OUR STORY
Unique Fireproofing was founded in 2010 with a clear mission: to deliver professional, code-compliant fireproofing services to commercial building owners across Toronto. In our early years, we focused exclusively on spray-applied fire-resistive materials (SFRM) for structural steel in warehouses, office buildings, and industrial facilities. That foundation in commercial fireproofing gave us a deep understanding of Ontario Building Code requirements, fire safety engineering, and the demanding standards that protect lives and property.
As our reputation for quality work and reliable service grew, so did the requests from our clients. Property managers who trusted us with their commercial fireproofing began asking about insulation solutions for their residential investments. General contractors who saw our SFRM work wanted us on their residential projects. By 2014, we had expanded into spray foam insulation — bringing the same precision, certifications, and commitment to code compliance that defined our fireproofing operations.
Today, Unique Fireproofing is a full-service fireproofing and insulation contractor serving 19 cities across the Greater Toronto Area. Our services span SFRM and intumescent fireproofing, open-cell and closed-cell spray foam insulation, blown-in insulation, attic and basement insulation, and insulation removal. We have completed more than 500 projects ranging from single-family attic insulation upgrades to multi-bay warehouse fireproofing installations.
What has not changed since 2010 is our commitment to family values, safety, and quality. We treat every property as if it were our own. Our installers are certified, our materials are premium Canadian-manufactured products, and every project comes with a written warranty. Our team is the backbone of Unique Fireproofing. Every installer on our crew is CUFCA-certified and trained in the latest application techniques for both fireproofing and spray foam insulation.
